ARRIVAL FROM Augusta.—Capt. D. B. Daniel hav
ing in charge the flatboat Enterprise, No. 1, from
Augusta, arrived yesterday. Capt. Daniell reports
the Gen. aground at Mathews Bluil'. On
Monday, at Catfinger but, passed floating in the river
the body of a white female, aged about sixteen years;
the body was in the water but a short time, with the
exception of one stocking it was perfectly nude.
Capt. Daniell hailed the steamer Amazon, passing
up, and the crew no doubt buried the body. N
fiiE Charleston Line of Steamers.—Tills new
line of steamers has met with a fair success thus far,
enough, Indeed, to augur well for its Increasing pop
ularity and profitableness as soon as business and
travel is more fully resumed. . v
The steamer Fannie, Capt. P. C. Lewis, now at
her wharf in this city, is at present the only steam
er on the line, though more are soon to be added.
Mr. Charles C. Cambridge, well known in this city
and in Charleston as an old steamboat man, having
been for years the Agent of J. P. Brooks A Cos., the
torrner owners of the Charleston Line, 13 the agent
of the present line, and the business cannot fall to
prosper under his experienced and etliclent manage

Exchange.— I The advance noticed in our last week's
report in sight bills on New York ana other Northern
cities, has been fully maintained the past week; buy
ing rates 1 @ D; ? cent.; selling rates, par.
Specie—Tue market during the past week has been
heavy. The demand for specie to pay for cotton, Arc,
was very light. A decline in rates has consequently
taken place. Gold, selling rates 147 ; buying rates,

Bonds, Stocks and Bank Bills.—No sales of con
sequence the past week.
• Commercial.
Insurance.—There has been no change in rates.
Marine jisks continue y 2 @ 1 cent, by steamer ;by
sailing vessels %-t cent additional.
Freights.—Gottou to New York by steamer Lcent
V lb, shippers paying for the compressing. Sail ves

Cotton.—lucre was a good demand early in the
week. The Northern and European news caused
somewhat ot a pame. The buyers demanded conces

Bibcular :
To secure uniformity throughout the Military Divis
ion of the Tennessee, in administering the Amnesty
Oath prescribed by the President in his Proclamation
of May 9th 1865, and to preserve the records of such
oaths, the Major'General Commanding directs that
.such oaths be subscribed in triplicate; two numbers
on sheets or rolls, one of which is to be filed at De
partment Headquarters, and one to be lorwarded to
the Department of State at Washington, and one con
venient copy to be given the party subscribing the
oath. *
Blanks for the purpose will be famished each De
partment from this office.
The Amnesty Oath will not be administered to such
persons as are excepted from the benefits of the Presi
dent’s Proclamation, except for the purpose of ena
bling them to apply to the President ior special par
don, and in such cases but one copy of the oath will be
subscribed, which copy will, by the officer administer
ing the oath, be attached to, and form a part of, the
applicant's petition for pardon.
in all special applications for pardon, the applicant
must state clearly and fully, under how many and which
of the exceptions named in the President’s Proclamation
his case comes; he must also state whether the Govern
ment has taken possession of any part of his property,
also whe her any proceedings are pending against him in
any of the United States Courts for treason, or for con
spiracy against the Government of the United States,
and the tacts stated in such he sworn to
before they will be forwarded.
The petition will then be forwarded 1 by fire officer ad
ministering the oath to the Department Commander,
who will, before forwarding the same to the Department
at Washington, refer the petition to the Governor of the
State in .which his Department is, to enable him to in
vestigate the merits of the case, and to recommend to
the President such action as to him seems just and pro
per.
Each Department Commander will designate suitable
officers 10 be conveniently 4 located for administering the
Amnesty Oath, and such officers will be governed by
these instructions.
The name and rank of such officers, with a statement
of tiie points where stationed, will be reported to this

The following Quarantine Regulations for the Port
of Savannah, Ga., will be enforced after the 22d inst.
I. The Quarantine grounds will be located in'Tybee
Roads, at the “old Savannah Quarantine.” Theexact
place of anchorage will be designated-by a white buoy
and flag.
11. It shall be the duty of the master and pilot of
every vessel coming into this port from this date until
further orders, except the pilot boats returning from
their ordinary cruising grounds, and U. S. Naval ves
sels, to hoist a signal for a health officer, in the fore
rigging, fifteen feet from her deck, apd come to imme
diately, below and opposite the guard ship, one of
which will be stationed at the Port, within and near
the inner bar buoy, and there wait his coming on
board. This flag to be kept in the lorerigging while
the vessel is undergoing Quarantine.
111. The Health Officer shall visit the vessel without
unnecessary delay mid ascertain her sanitary condi
tion, and the port whence she sailed. And It shall be
his duty to order to the Quarantine Grounds, there to
remain as long as he may deem proper, all vessels
having on board cases of yellow fever, cholera or other
infectious or contagious diseases; also ail vessels com
ing from any West India Island, or from any port in
that portion of the State of Florida not formerly in
the Department of the South, whether such vessels
hare clean bills of health or not.
IV. No communication will be allowed with the ves
sel until she has been examined by the Health Officer,
and no person will be permitted to leave her.
V. The fee of the Health Officers for visiting, exam
ining snd certifying vessels arriving at this Port, shali
be collected from ail vessels, except those in the Gov
ernment employ, or foreign war vessels, at the follow
ing rates: _
For each vessel from a foi eign port $6 50
And for all others 2 00 j
The money thus collected will be turned over to
Chief Medical Officer for the use of the .Hospitals in
this District,
VI. These regulations wiff be strictly enforced by
the Health Officer. Should there be uny deviation
therefrom, or should any of t,he orders given by the
Health Officer to such vessels not be strictly carried
out, they will report the fact to the Chief Medtcal offi
cer for the immediate arrest and imprisonment of the

Savannah National Bank,” in the City of Savannah,
in the County of Chatham, and State of Georgia, ha*
been dnly organized under and according to the re
quirements of the Act of Congress entitled “ An Aot
to provide a National Currency, secured by a pledge of
United States bonds, and to provide for the circulation
and redemption thereof, ’’ approved June 3,1864, and
has complied with all the provisions of said Act re
quired to be complied with before commencing the
business of Banking under said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Freeman Clarke, Compfroller of
the Currency, do hereby certify that “The Savannah
National Bank," in the City of Savunnah, in the
County of Chatham, and State of Georgia, is author
ized to commence the business of Banking tinder the
Act aforesaid.

The suspension of The Pacificator, the only Cath
olic Journal in the South, has been caused by clrcom
stances arising mainly from want of means to defray
the expense of publication.
This announcement is made with extreme regret,
blit, relying upon the deep interest and the generous
support heretofore extended. both by the Clergy au<V
Laity of the Church, as well as upon the liberal pa
tronage received from the members of other denomi
nations, we sincerely trust the suspension will only be
of a very brief duration.
• In the present condition of the country, It is of par
amount importance that the Church should have an
organ in the South for the dissemination of Catholic
Doctrines, and the defence ot Catholic ’t eachings and
Practices.
Tne sudden, radical and unexpected changes which
have taken place in the organization of Southern In
stitutions, political, religions and social, make the
support of a Catholic Journal in this section an Im
perative duty on the part of oach and every member
of the Chureh.
If then the Catholics of the South desire the pa bin
cation of this Journal continued let them go to work
without delay in its behalf, and so soon as a sufficient
number of renewed subscriptions are received It will
again be regularly issued.
The past tone of The Pacificator, Religious, Polit
ical, and Literary, will be its best recommendation,
and a guarantee of its future conduct,
Mr. L. T. iflome having withdrawn from tha con
cern, the paper will hereafter be conducted solely by
the subscriber, who earnestly appeals to the Catholics
of the booth, and to all others friendly ,o the cause;
to sustain Tiie Pacieioatob by a liberal patronage.
The catholic Clergy throughout the South are au
thorized to receive subscriptions.
SST Publication will be resumed as soon as the par
ties whose names are now on the books renew their
