A certificate from three members of the Medical

We, t ie undersigned, practitioners ot medicine
in Germanv, are weil aware that, by our course,
we may forfeit the friendship of some of tin lacul

of the soundness or unsounilness of Dr. Goelick s

hear, we must believe. ;
We Hereby state, that wh*‘D Dr. Louis OflTon

a base impostor and the poin t®f quacks. Rut, on
hearing so much said a out the Sanative, against it
and for it, we were induced, from motives of curi

upon r number of our most hopeless patients; and
we now deem it our bounden s ,duty (even at the
expense of self-interest i publicly to acknowledge
its emcaey in curing not onh- consumption, but
other fearful maladies, which -ve have heretofore
believed to be incurable. Gu* contempt for the

DR. JAYNE’S
OLEAGINOUS HAIR TONIC.
Copy of a letter from Dr. 8, 8. Fitch, dated
Philadelphia, May 10, 1838.
DR. JAYNE—Dear Sir,— l feei that I can
hardly say enough to you in favor of Jiyne's
t Oleaginous Hair Tonic , prepared by 30s. My
t hair had been falling oif auout two years, and had
1 become very thin, threatening speedy baldness,
i when I commenced using this remedy. In about
? one week, it ceased to fall oif. I have used it now
f about three months, and have as full and thick a
> head of hair a* I can possibly desire. I have
recommended its use to a number of m3' friends,
f who al speak we lof it. If faithfully employed,
1 have no doubt oi its general success. 1 may add
that before using the I onic, 1 ha I .ried a most all
the various articles employed for the hair, such as
* the Macassar oil, all the different preparations of
t Bear’s Oil, Vegetable Hair ml, &c &c., without
experiencing much, if any, benei.t. Respectfully
yours, S. S. Fitch, No. 172 Chesnut street,
f Before Dr. Fitch used this Tonic fiis ha r be
gan to be gra3*, but since then there is not a gray
hair to be found on his head.
, Philadelphia, May 11, 1838.
Dr. Jayxf—Dear Sir, —I cheerfully and with
pleasure submit the following to you, with the
liberty of your making it public, should you have
the desire: —For several months past my hair had
1 been falling oil', so much so indeed that by
passing my fingers lightly through it, 1 could obtain
a quantity in my hand. 1 had tried all the fash
ionable v ilsof the day, without having received
the slightest sensible benefit. The oni3* resource
that seemed left to me, was to have my hea.l shav
ed and wear a wig. Having, through a friend who
1 had profitted by its use, heard of the remarkab e
cures elfected by yoe’s leaginous Hair To»ic,
sold by you, I wa- induced, as a dernier resort, to
try it. I have used two bott es, and am pleased to
, say, that a. ter a lew applications, my hair ceased
entirely from coming out, the young hair made its
appearance in great abundance, ai.d that now 1
have a tine, luxuriant growth, and believe it to fie
f the best remedy ever yet discovered A fair trial
will be its best recommendation. Independently
of its virtues as a restorative and preventive, it
imparts to the hair a fine heaithy, g.oss3* appear
-1 ance, rendeiing it soft and flexible, which will
make it an invaluable acquisition for the toilet of
everyone at all desirous of beautifying that great
est of adornments of the face—the hair.
Returning my most sincere thanks for saving
me from premature baldness, b>* the use of the
above Tonic, I am, dear Bir, 3*our obedient servant,

Dr. D Jayne,—>ir—l take pleasure in inform

head had become almost entirely bald. 1 was un

combing the hair on the sides over it But now,
after using about half of a bottle of the “ J onic,”
